Fairytales Retold Reading Challenge
Hosted by Debz Bookshelf
Sooo, in my sign up post I had mentioned going for the 'Lady in Waiting (7-9 books)' Level for this challenge. But since I've completed 7 books already, I'm thinking of pushing myself up a level up. I'll be now aiming to become a 'Mountain Troll' (lol why do I like this title the most?), by attempting to finish 10-12 books. WOOT!
Books Finished:
Cinderella Dressed in Ashes by Cameron Jace
Sold for Endless Rue by Madeleine E. Robins
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
My Name is Rapunzel by K C Hilton
Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy by Karen Foxlee
Such Sweet Sorrow by Jenny Trout
Reading Challenges with Bite: Vampire Challenge 2014
Hosted by Parajunkee.com
About this, erm, I think I'm gonna take a break because suddenly I'm not feeling like reading vampire books, not right now. I'm not saying about giving up altogether (being well aware of my whimsies), it's just that I've been reading quite a lot vampire books since 2013 and I really need to take a break. I'm planning to catch up on it later though, soon ;)The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black
Dying is My Business by Nicholas Kaufmann
Fang Girl by Helen Keeble
Don't Bite the Bridesmaid by Tiffany Allee
A Shade of Blood by Bella Forrest (Book 2)
And next, I'm participating in three review pile challenge simultaneously.
Netgalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge 2014
Hosted by Falling for YA
Review Pile Reading Challenge 2014
Hosted by Rachel@Fiktshun and Reanna@Phantasmic Reads.
Netgalley Reading Challenge 2014
Hosted by Ariel Avalon
Since it's an overall review challenge, I'm not keeping a specific list because there are too many!!! But I'm shelving them on my Goodreads shelf as 2014 Review Challenge, so I can keep an account of the books I've read and reviewed.
2014 Series Challenge
Hosted by Read. Sleep. Repeat.
So far I've read the Angelbound series, The Eternal Balance series, The Airship Racing Chronicles, Salt series, The Death of Ink series, Mind Games series, The Sweet Trilogy, The Tanith Prophecy series and The Madman's Daughterm series. Similar to review challenges, I'm keeping a track of the read books through my Goodreads 2014 Series Challenge shelf. It's easier that way, for me, because I've seen it happen that often an author turns a standalone book to a part of a series, and if that happens, all I have to do is move the book from one shelf to another :)
Historical Fiction Reading Challenge 2014
Hosted by Historical Tapestry
This is probably the only challenge in which I'm wayyy behind schedule. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE historical fiction, which is why I had signed up for this. But I was facing sudden health issues the time I had fixed for reading for this challenge. I only managed to finish Severed by Dax Varley, The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd and The English Patient by Michael Ondaatji (Goodreads Shelf) I'm planning to start reading again for this at the end of April.
So yup, these are my updates for the challenges I've taken. Feel free to browse and if you feel like participating in any, follow the links provided above. It should take you directly to the sign up post page or to the host blog.
HAPPY READING!!!:D
