Weekend Book Haul # 6 (STS+SP+SS)

Hello everyone! I have got a number of books this week, some are yet to be delivered, which is why I won't be listing them now (In my country international deliveries often turn out to be a little 'unpredictable' :\)-

REVIEW COPIES

Book Title: Sneaking Candy
Author: Lisa Burstein

All I ever wanted was to make a name for myself as Candice Salinas, creative writing grad student at the University of Miami. Of course, secretly I already have made a name for myself: as Candy Sloane, self-published erotic romance writer.

Though thrilled that my books are selling and I have actual fans, if anyone at UM found out, I could lose my scholarship…and the respect of my faculty advisor, grade-A-asshole Professor Dylan.

Enter James Walker, super-hot local barista and—surprise!—my student. Even though I know a relationship is totally off-limits, I can’t stop myself from sneaking around with James, taking a few cues from my own erotic writing…if you catch my drift. Candy’s showing her stripes for the first time in my real life, and I’ve never had so much fun. But when the sugar high fades, can my secrets stay under wraps?

Book Title: Infinityglass (Hourglass # 3 )
Author: Myra McEntire

The stakes have risen even higher in this third book in the Hourglass series.

The Hourglass is a secret organization focused on the study of manipulating time, and its members — many of them teenagers -have uncanny abilities to make time work for them in mysterious ways. Inherent in these powers is a responsibility to take great care, because altering one small moment can have devastating consequences for the past, present, and future. But some time travelers are not exactly honorable, and sometimes unsavory deals must be struck to maintain order.

With the Infinityglass (central to understanding and harnessing the time gene) at large, the hunt is on to find it before someone else does.

But the Hourglass has an advantage. Lily, who has the ability to locate anything lost, has determined that the Infinityglass isn't an object. It's a person. And the Hourglass must find him or her first. But where do you start searching for the very key to time when every second could be the last?

Book Title: Dreamwalker (Persephone's League of Immortals #1)
Author: Noelle Adams

Noel Kennedy lost her boyfriend, her job, and her dignity all in one week and then gained an entirely new life.
Hunted by a mysterious league of immortals, Noel must rediscover her forgotten past while uncovering the truth behind the two men who battle for her heart, both in dreams and in reality.

Entranced, she slowly unravels a world she was meant to stay out of, one filled with creatures she once thought to be myth and dangers that threaten her very soul.
Now Noel begins the fight for her life and must choose between two men who call to her heart. Can she escape a life of servitude or immortality for a chance at love?

BORROWED

Okay, I may or may not have actually threatened my friend so that she lets me 'borrow' the books (ya I know I'm so evil :D)

Book Title:  Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1)

Author: Cassandra Clare

In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the New York Times bestselling Mortal Instruments series.

The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them....

Book Title:Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices # 2)
Author: Cassandra Clare

In magical Victorian London, orphan Tessa found safety

with the Shadowhunters, until traitors betray her to the

Magister. He wants to marry her, but so do self-destructive

Will and fiercely devoted Jem. Mage Magnus Bane returns

to help them. Secrets to her parentage lie with the

mist-shrouded Yorkshire Institute's aged manager Alyosius

Starkweather.

Book Title: Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices # 3)
Author: Cassandra Clare

Danger and betrayal, secrets and enchantment in the breathtaking conclusion to the Infernal Devices trilogy.

Tessa Gray should be happy – aren't all brides happy? Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shaodwhunters of the London Institute.

A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters.

Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa's heart, will do anything to save her
.

  1. I cannot wait to start McEntire, heard a lot of good things about the books. As for Clare, the books aren't bad but I liked TMI more. :)

    1. Ya I've seen mixed responses regarding TMI, and tbh it seemed a little boring at the beginning to me as well, not to mention other little flaws but ultimately I hold a positive pov coz the fantasy element of the series is really awesome..and no, I haven't started reading the other series yet.Reviews will be up as soon as I do :)
